Firstly, let me say that this plugin was inspired by ‘C.O.F.F.E.E. – The Book’ by Rui Batista. I would like to thank Rui for writing this and giving out the closely-guarded secrets of how to write C4D plugins. Without it I would not have been able to write ‘Commentator’.
As it’s my first one, I can’t claim that this is an earth-shattering plugin, but maybe it’ll prove useful to some users – I know it has to me. It is a COFFEE plugin so should work on both PCs and Macs, but has only been tested on a PC in C4D version 10.5.
Commentator allows you to add free text notes to your scene files. All you do is attach a Commentator tag to any object, then type your text into the box which appears. You can also use this tag to set deadlines for certain tasks along with deadline dates and assigned persons.
You can download the plugin from the link below. It is compatible with Cinema 4D up to and including R14.
